Anybody who keeps chickens will tell you that in the late Winter and early Spring, when snow melts and foliage is minimal, you find eggs the hens have laid "in the wild" for whatever reason instead of going to their nest in the coop.
I'd bet that's where the tradition of hunting Easter eggs originated!
Along the way, it's likely that you'll flush a hiding rabbit or two!!
