What is the recommended wire size for installing a 1800 watt amplifier?

If you are talking about an amplifier to be installed in a vehicle with a 12 volt system then you would use the formula to find the amps. I = W/E. 1800/12 = 150 amps. A 1/0 copper wire is rated at 150 amps.
