Why did Allah create the jinn and what purpose do they serve in the grand design of creation?

Allah created the jinn as beings with free will, similar to humans, to worship Him and carry out tasks in the world. They serve as a part of the grand design of creation to fulfill various roles and responsibilities assigned by Allah.
