Did john Cabot know Queen Elizabeth?

John Cabot did not know Queen Elizabeth I personally, as he lived during the late 15th century and died in 1499. Queen Elizabeth I ascended to the throne in 1558, several decades after Cabot's death. However, Cabot's explorations paved the way for later English ventures, including during Elizabeth's reign when England sought to expand its influence in the New World.
