Why didn't Charles Darwin finish medical school?

Charles Darwin did not finish medical school primarily due to his aversion to the study of surgery and the sight of blood. While he enrolled at the University of Edinburgh to study medicine, he found the experience unfulfilling and was more interested in natural history and science.
