How do you get rid of flies on shrubs?

You have to kill flies at the souce. You can treat the shrubs with something repellent, but you need to determine if it's a resting spot or conducive to the flies. An id is needed in case it's whiteflies or similar. Sometimes removing affected plant is necessary.
