What does it mean if a girl makes great eye contact when talking with you but folds her arms?

Mixed message?I would say that I used to do this until I started reading about body language online. I crossed my arms over my chest and still do it by habit when I'm talking to someone...it's a crutch and makes me feel more secure because I am a person that is shy that pretends she's not. So, don't read too much into the arms crossing over the chest or body language in general because she's talking to you and giving you eyecontact and that alone is good. They also say to look for at least three or four negative body language signs first before making a judgment call on the message. One gesture alone isn't accurate. Mixed message?The fact that she's talking to you at all should be encouraging, right? So, you have two positive signs and one possibly negative one. The positives win!!!! Ask her out.

The only things that amaze me more than all the Am-I-pregnant questions are all the Does-s/he-like-me questions and their variations. "What does it mean if a boy says you have a cool cell phone and always waves when he sees you but sits with his friends at lunch and takes longer than 30 milliseconds to reply to your text messages?" "What does it mean if a girl says she likes the body spray you're wearing but hates a certain type of music that she knows you really like but asks your friends about you but is always talking to other guys?"

What's prompting all those questions? A lack of confidence and a lack of courage. Mostly a lack of courage. Kids, especially guys, are always trying to minimize, if not totally eliminate, the chances and opportunities of being rejected, of being turned down. Every time that happens, it's a blow to the ego. So, instead of taking a chance, they do nothing. They don't have the guts to risk it. And you know what I say to that? SCREW THAT!

The sooner you grow a sac and learn how to walk up to the girl who's caught your eye, smile, say hello, and ask her out, the happier you will be. Are you gonna get shot down occasionally? Yeah. Maybe even more than occasionally. So what? Big deal. Shake it off and ask somebody else out tomorrow. Easier said than done? Yeah. Particularly the first couple of times. But you'll get more comfortable doing it, and after a while, you'll be going out more often with more girls.

So forget about the folded arms and ask her out. And hurry up before some other dude does.
