Theoretical philosophy directs itself in knowing things as they are without thinking of the application of it.
Its branches of theoretical philosophy are as follows:
1. Metaphysics - philosophical field which deals with the fundamental nature of reality, being and existence.
2. Cosmology - deals with the study of physical world/universe as a rational and orderly system.
3. Epistemology - study of origins, presuppositions, nature, extent and veracity of knowledge
4. Psychology - study of nature and functions of the soul, mind or spirit
5. Theodicy - philosophical field which studies, nature, being, goodness and justice of God, God-Man relations and other doctrines related to divinity
