What is the cycle of a blue bottle?

The life cycle of a blue bottle fly, or Calliphora vomitoria, begins when adult flies lay eggs on decaying organic matter. The eggs hatch into larvae (maggots) that feed on the decomposing material, growing rapidly. After several molts, the larvae pupate, eventually emerging as adult flies.
