From my point of view, regrets are part of the human condition. As a human being, we can't avoid them. Regrets do serve a purpose, if we didn't have feelings of regret, we would have no incentive to learn from our mistakes and avoid them in the future. To accept our regrets as part of our growth and maturing process will help to keep them from becoming roadblocks to making successes in our lives. A wise man once said, 'You can look back, but don't stare.'

The simple answer is that regrets come from being human.
