Did Yaroslav defeat the Mongols

It is very possible that one of the Yaroslavs inflicted a defeat on the Mongols, at some time or other as history records many famous Yaroslavs, from Princes to Kings and Generals etc. down the centuries.

The mongol armies were far from invincible, for example on several occassions they were defeated in 13th century Croatia, even right at the height of their power. They were defeated in 13th century Poland at Krakow and on numerous occassions in Hungary, though some of the defeats in Hungary are disputed by modern historians. They found central/Western Europe very hard to conquer and were often defeated by castle fortifications.

Though the Mongols did find Russia and China much easier to conquer, even in these two places they were eventually overthrown. Muscovy stopped paying any tribute to the Mongols in the late 15th century and China managed to push back the last mongol invasion/civil war in the late 15th century too.
