According to my Pictorial Guide to House Plants:

1. KEEP THEM OUT OF DIRECT SUN! They tolerate low and do well in mid light conditions.

2. They like average to warm temperature (70-80oF, with 55-85oF being the outer limits).

3. They should have moist soil when they're growing and flowering. You can let the soil dry out some between waterings when they're in a slow growth period. A little bit of "benign neglect" won't hurt them.

4. They tolerate low humidity, and prefer relative humidity of 30% or more.

5. They like an indoor mix of soil that is humusy and drains well. You can coarse the soil up a bit, using fir bark or chopped osmuda fibers, if they're growing in a large container.

6. If they need repotting, do so in the spring.

7. During growth periods, fertilize every one or two months, using half the recommended strength.

8. You can clean the leaves by either washing them in lukewarm water or wiping them with a soft, damp cloth.

9. Trim off dead blooms and yellowing leaves. If there is fluoride in the water or soil, it could damage the edges of the leaves.

Provide sufficient Water to your peace lily regularly.Place it in a cooler, more shaded area instead of direct sunlight, which can quickly damage the leaves.
