The very first thing that comes to mind is that something has come about to threaten the stability of his marriage. Most guys that are unfaithful may not care for their wives but still wish to maintain their marriage. Guys, in general, tend to dislike change and a divorce can be one of the biggest, most devastating changes there is in our society atm. They may even still care for, or even love, their wives regardless how they feel, or SAY they feel about a mistress.
