How do you hook up a solenoid wiring?

First of all disconnect the battery and then start installing cables to solenoid.make sure all connection are cleaned by filing or by sanding with sand paper . And on your mounting spot it also should be filed clean of rust and paint. Mount your solenoid using both holes to make sure it is in place firm. Facing the solenoid from across the motor. On the right side install the + cable to the large terminal. On the left side in stall the cable going to your pump motor. And then install the small cable to the left or S marked small post.
