What sort of things did soldiers from World War 1 get in their parcels?

well they got many things depending from where their parcel is coming from. If it is coming from the army then it would be things that are mostly tinned like some vegetables. They occasionally got biscuits and jam. If they were getting parcels from home then they usually would get gum boots to keep their feet more dry to stop the spread of trench foot. They also get woolly thinks like socks and hats and also some food items as an extra. They also got cigarettes so keep their huger satisfactory and also to keep then calm and they also had rum when they were off the front-line fighting. The majors and Generals got the most luxurious meals just like a high class person in Britain would. They also got jam, bread, cheese and meats from Harrods and got a lot of expensive parcels form home. This was unfair for the soldiers but they could do nothing about it.
