A runabout has a flat foredeck..... A bow-rider ("bow" meaning the fora rd part of a boat/ship "Rider" Meaning person to be carried....) has seating or an open space for passenger's in front of the driver in place of the flat foredeck and is only applicable to vessels under 7 meters
