Generally speaking, lions and wolves do not have overlapping territories. However, lions are known to kill and even eat African wild dogs, though they are rarely successful in catching adults. So, in theory, if confronted with wolves, a lion may attempt to hunt them and fail at catching the adults, given that wolves are capable of running for much longer.
