The Philippines is located 21° 10' N, a small bit away from the tropic of cancer. The tropic of cancer is located at 23° 26 22 N. Consequently, the Philippines can be considered a tropical country, as there are no identifiable seasons like in temperate zones, though there may be dry and rainy periods which last the full year with the amount fo rainfall dictated by proximity to the equator.
