What is a set of moral values?

Moral Values are a collective set of standards which society holds dear. Children are taught these morals so that individuals then adopt these values.* Moral Values can include:

1. Honesty
2. Integrity
3. Loyalty
4. Respect
5. Self-respect
6. Respect of others' property (do not steal, do not take advantage)
7. Dignity
8. Compassion
9. Love toward others
10. upholding social norms and laws
11. etc.

*Not all adults teach children these values.
