Do Bacteroiphages destroy other viruses

Bacteriophages, or phages, are viruses that specifically infect and destroy bacteria, not other viruses. They attach to bacterial cells, inject their genetic material, and ultimately cause the bacteria to lyse, releasing new phage particles.
