Who was Paul Hindemith?

One of the major modernist composers of the 1920's and 30's. Some his best works from that time include the 7 Kammermusik(for ensemble and soloist), the Kleine Kammermusik (for wind quintet), the clarinet quintet and various sonatas for violin, viola and cello (solo or accompanied by piano).

He was also one of the foremost violists of his time and a music teacher.
