What are the main points of the nebular model?

The nebular model posits that the solar system formed from a rotating cloud of gas and dust, known as a solar nebula. Under the influence of gravity, this nebula collapsed, leading to the formation of the Sun at its center while the remaining material flattened into a protoplanetary disk. As particles within the disk collided and coalesced, they formed planetesimals, which eventually became the planets, moons, and other celestial bodies.
