How do I erect a gazebo without the instructions?

While the original answer is a funny one, it's not entirely true. Pop up gazebos are rather easy to erect, but not exactly automatically. Manual effort will be required to unfold the structural components and also to stake down the tent in some cases. This is important when there's wind, as the lightweight gazebo canopy has a lot of surface area in relation to the weight of the popup gazebo. Otherwise you might end up with a pop up kite rather than a pop up gazebo.

Also, after first purchasing a pop up gazebo, there may be some assembly required. This usually is nothing more difficult than bolting a few things together, but can be a little frustrating if you don't have the instructions and haven't done it before.
