Yes it does. I have a friend that did not pay her cell phone bill and when she went to buy a car it was on her credit report. It made her look bad because if she cannot pay for a cell phone bill how could she pay a car payment.

Answerif its one or two monthsIt will only hurt your credit with your cell phone provider. but every company has its limits. After 90 days with some carriers they will transfer your un-paid balance to a third party collection agency. This agency is the one that will put negative remarks on your credit report if they can not get payment or a solid payment arrangement. Even a non-payment of only 40 dollars can stay on your record for 7 years. this will effect everything you try to obtain by credit. this is known as R9.
