The starter fuse of a 1989 Chevrolet Corvette is normally found on the engine compartment fuse box (often referred to as an underhood fuse panel). Under this arrangement no separate fuse labeled simply starter fuse is present in the starter system, but instead is guarded by fusible links and relays.
These are things you should check:
Fusible LinksThese fusible links are adjacent to the starter solenoid and battery junction block on the driver side under hood. Fusible links Short lengths of wire, usually resembling normal wire, but intended to melt if overloaded like fuses.
Relay Starter This can find its location in the right-side shoe kit panel of the vehicle or behind the dash on the passenger-side depending on the trim and repair done before. In the event of relay failure, then the starter will not activate.
Ignition Switch & Neutral Safety Switch Both parts serve a purpose of the provision of power to the starter, though not a fuse. Here the problem of a blown fuse may be imitated by a fault.
To find out why your Corvette will not start look at:
Battery connections
Starter relay action
State of fusible links
