How far did the Seleucid dynasty extend?

The Seleucid dynasty, established by Seleucus I Nicator following the death of Alexander the great, extended over a vast territory that included parts of modern-day Turkey, Syria, Iraq, Iran, and even reaching into Central Asia at its height. At its peak around the 3rd century BCE, the Seleucid Empire encompassed a significant portion of the eastern Mediterranean and Near East, facilitating cultural and economic exchanges. However, the empire faced internal strife and external pressures, leading to its gradual fragmentation over the following centuries. Eventually, it diminished significantly and was largely overtaken by rival powers like the Parthians and Romans.
