What is edit in Excel?

It is changing the contents of the cell, like changing a formula or putting a new value in it. You can start editing by clicking on the content in the formula bar or pressing the F2 key.
Cell editing is making any changes to the contents of the cell whether the contents is text, data (numbers) or a formula. Double click on a cell and you can edit it in the cell instead of on the formula bar.
