How can you tell if a duck is a boy or a girl?

You pick up the duck and you place your thumb underneath its tail and grip the tail. This is kinda gross but think you are trying to flip the anus inside out and you do that. Is theres a swirly thing in its anus then its a boy, if theres nothing just a bump then its a girl!
