ANS1People harvest fur because other people want to buy it. If there were no market for fur, people would not kill animals for it. ANS2It's because they are greedy and want more paper in their wallet - and they don't even care what happens to the animals that live in a tiny cage with no food and a tiny sip of infected water to rest until they are taken out and killed. And never think what it would be like if the animal killed them. I am sure you'd want people like this jailed for life. ANS3For the same reason that people kill animals for their meat. Fur and meat are commodities. ANS4People like fur because it feels good to the touch, the patterns look good to the eye like art, and it can be used for decoration or as a form of clothing for warmth.
People kill animals for profit by selling the fur to someone else or to keep for themselves as either decoration, clothing or community status as a hunter.
