There were no circulating $1 coins with that date, and in any case all circulating dollars made since 1971 have been struck in copper-nickel or brass, not silver.
If you have a large (~ 40 mm) coin that says "1 oz" on its back, you have a bullion coin sold to collectors and investors, and not made for spending. Its value depends on the current spot price of silver which changes every day.
