Baby opossums, also known as joeys, primarily consume their mother's milk during the early stages of life. As they grow and begin to leave the pouch, they start to eat small insects, fruits, and other soft foods. In the wild, they may also scavenge for leftovers or small invertebrates. It's important for them to have a diet rich in protein and calcium to support their development.
