How do you turn off the required maintenance warning on a 2006 Toyota tacoma?

With the ignition switch in the off position, hold in the hold in the trip odometer. Now turn on your key and you will see a series of zeros or dashes begin to appear. Once that stops, your maintenance light will be reset.
