Why is there a ribbon on the cover of eclipse?

well, if you pay really close attention to the book while your reading it, the stuff on the cover is there. like in twilight, edward says "twilight is the best part of [the day], but it's also the worst." or something like that, and the Apple on the cover- in the cafeteria he catches the Apple for her when she drops it.

In the 2nd book, she says "it was very dark tonigh-maybe a new moon." or something... i don't know what the rest of the cover stuff is, but u could probably find it somewhere online...

that answer was wrong. in new moon there is a deeper meaning in the title but you have to read eclipse to get it. *SPOILERS*in eclipse when Bella goes to visit Jacob when he has been injured, she says to him that Edward is the moon in her life and that Jacob is her sun so the title of new moon means that instead of Edward there is someone else that she loves, and that could possibly take his place as her moon.
