Was Canadarm invented by Sally Ride?

The Canadarm was first used in 1981 and was designed and developed in the 1970s. Sally Ride did not even join the space program until 1979. She was still in university the arm was designed by Canadian engineers.

Sally Ride did not invent the Canadarm. She used the arm while in space in 1983. Driving a car does not mean you invented it.
