If swimming pool gunite is poured minutes before major rain and has been filled with water since will it cure properly or be prone to cracking?

If the cement had cured enough to maintain its shape IE not get washed away by the running water, The water on top of it should do no harm as a matter of fact it will slow down the cure and make the pool stronger in the long run.
