Societies having low or stable population experience less strain on their health care facilities. Also, there is less competiton on the available health care which leads to affordable health services.Stable or low population encourages the government to provide free health care services to the public. All these leads lo lower rates of mortality and infant mortality of such societies.Overpopulation on the other hand causes the reverse of the above situation.More strain is placed on the health care facilities, more competiton leads to expensive health services. This may also lead to alternative methods of modern health services such as the use of herbs to cure diseases and the use of traditional midwives for child birth
