This is for LPNs not RNs: It depends on where you work. Hospitals tend to pay less but give you more hours, $11.00 to $18.00 an hour, usually 12 hour shifts, of course this depends on your experience and where you live. Clinics and Dr's Office tend to pay about the same, clinics have 8 to 12 hour shifts and Dr's office have 8. Home Health agencys tend to pay LPNs anywhere from $16 to $30 per pt or hour depending on the agency. Home Healthy Agencys also pay per mileage as well. You also have to look at the benefits you will receive and not just the paycheck, health insurance, dental, paid vacation time, etc. Hope this helps.
