How many different types of pike are there?

There are approximately six recognized species of pike, with the most well-known being the Northern Pike (Esox lucius). Other species include the Muskellunge (Esox masquinongy), the European Pike (Esox lucius), the Amur Pike (Esox reichertii), the Chain Pickerel (Esox Niger), and the Redfin Pickerel (Esox americanus).
