They are totally opposite of each other.

A mountain is a cone-shaped upward formation of mostly solid earth.

Whereas a valley is a deep, mostly empty lack of earth resembling a very large, dry riverbed.

Mt. Everest and Death Valley are two of the most well-known examples of a mountain and a valley in the world.
