How much is subway franchise?

Subway have said on one of their promotion pages "SUBWAY®outlets can be opened for as little as c. £100,000. Your total initial investment will depend on many factors including location, rent, outlet size and equipment."

and then goes on to say "The franchise fee of $10,000 (about £6,000) for outlets is one of the lowest on the market, despite the size of the chain. To encourage multi-unit operation, the franchise fee is reduced to $2,500 (about£1,500) for additional franchises and as a result, 70% of franchises are purchased by existing owners!!"
