How does flood come from?

Flooding typically occurs when there is an overflow of water onto land that is normally dry. This can happen due to heavy rainfall, melting snow, overflowing rivers or lakes, or storm surges from the ocean. When the volume of water exceeds the capacity of the land to absorb it, flooding can result.
