How many female firefighters are working full time in Canada?

Currently there are no available statistics kept on gender in firefighters organizations in Canada. Stats Canada has yet to release the most up to date information. The role of women firefighter is growing however and most departments have both genders working side by side.

The current director Bill Mackay of the Firefighters Chiefs association says the increased number of females currently in the service is a positive change and their skills are complimentary and an asset to the service. See related link below for Information.
