Who makes ariens riding mowers?

Currently (2010) Ariens tractors are produced by Husqvarna at the Orangeburg SC factory, they also produce some of the Craftsman tractors, Poulan tractors etc.

Ariens zero turn mowers are produced by Ariens at their Brillion, WI factory.

Husqvarna, who is owned by Electrolux, yes the vacuum company, owns AYP, this is who builds the "Craftman" brand machine. I worked for years for a Ariens Distributor and was not aware of AYP ever building machines for Ariens. One way to kinda check it out is look at the serial number plate, what town does it show it built in ? NC, AYP...Brillion WI Ariens factory.
