How do you remove the speedometer to replace the bulbs on a Golf GTi?

depends on the year of the car. For a Mk2 Golf You need to remove the dash surround. you then just need to feed your hand round the back of the dials casing and unclip the speedo cable. It's tricky to get back in though but not impossible. good luck
