Can gypsum manufacture glass

Gypsum itself cannot be used to manufacture glass, as glass is primarily made from silica (sand), soda, and limestone. However, gypsum can be utilized in the production of some types of glass as a fluxing agent or to modify certain properties of the glass. It is more commonly known for its applications in construction and agriculture rather than in glass production.
