Does punctured eardrum belongs to temporary hearing loss or permenently deaf?

I have a punctured ear drum 2 days old. I have gone to the doctor and they stated that it is a temporary hearing loss. I still can't hear good, it feels like there is a plug in my ear. Guess it takes up to 2 to 3 weeks for it to start feeling normal again. The main concern was infections, get on an antibiotic asap. I have a punctured ear drum 2 days old.
