well, an ad isn't typically a source of information. if you mean an article in a magazine, then it is secondary info.

primary is things that are evidence, and directly from the scene, like (but not limited to) artifacts or diaries.

a secondary source is information pulled from primary sources by someone else, like articles, books, videos, etc.

(but i think videos taken directly of an incedent are still considered primary sources).
