How do you run away from home if a kid?

If you want to run away from home (which is a really stupid idea and in my opinion you really shouldn't) you can tie a rope/lader type of a thing and climb out your window or you can rent a bike and ride for as long as your heart desires. Running away from home is just NOT safe, especially these days, with so much crime on the streets.
