Im looking for timber slab about 50mm thick. its clear varnished all over but the outside of it still has the original tree bark shape.can anyone tell me what its called. its not solid wood sheet?

there are many pieces like this made usually by hand in BC Canada for one but I'm sure the same could be made from a lot of timber cants or slabs ,as for the species first it would help to see the piece and distinguish if its a hard wood or soft wood as well as the kind of bark if any still is attached .sometimes grain also helps to determine species ....bottom line ...need picture
