Friend Richardson (born William Richardson on December 1, 1865 in Friends Colony, Michigan; died September 6, 1943 in Berkeley, California) succeeded William Stephens as the twenty-fifth Governor of California, serving between January 9, 1923 and January 4, 1927, including the whole of 1925.
